As a science illustrator, one of the subjects that interests me the most is the relationship between plants and animals—and more specifically, flowers and their pollinators. I think bird-pollinated plants are especially interesting, and have created an ongoing series of illustrations depicting favorite pairings throughout the world. Each card features a different flower and a bird that pollinates it—from South African aloes and sunbirds, to North America’s western columbine and rufous hummingbird.
The A2-sized (4.25” x 5.5”) cards are blank inside and are printed on recycled cardstock; they are neatly packaged in a brown paper box with clear window. This set makes a great gift for gardeners, naturalists, and anyone else who loves birds.
