One of my favorite California wildflowers, scarlet bugler (Penstemon centranthifolius) is a tall perennial with graceful stalks of coral-red tubular blossoms. I first encountered this plant on the side of the road way out in Carmel Valley, where several clumps of it bloomed on a rocky outcrop. I was so taken with it that I made sketches of it and eventually a painting of three tall blooms.
These notecards measure 3.75″ wide by 8.5″ tall, and come with brown kraft paper envelopes in standard letter size. The cards are printed on recycled paper and are blank inside.
