Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make special requests or order a commission?

Yes! Please contact me directly with any questions about requests or commissions.

Are your notecards mailable?

My large notecards (A2 and tall, narrow cards) are mailable. Small gift inserts are too small to go through the mail, and are meant to accompany a gift.

What forms of payment do you accept?

For retail orders, I accept credit cards or PayPal through my website. Wholesale customers may contact me through the query form to discuss payment options.

Is shipping free?

There is a flat fee for shipping, and rates depend on the order (the fee to ship notecards, for example, is different than the fee for prints). Orders over $75 ship for free; otherwise, shipping will be calculated at checkout. Visit the Refund/Shipping Policies page for more information.

Are your stickers waterproof?

My stickers are printed by StickerMule, whose claim to fame is that their stickers can go through the dishwasher and still retain their color and look great! I had several friends test my stickers before I began selling them, and I have several other artists’ StickerMule stickers on my water bottles. They’ve all held up beautifully.

Are your prints a common frame size?

Many of my prints are unusual sizes. Please contact me if you would like to know which images will fit into standard frame sizes.

What makes a giclee print special?

The local printer who creates my giclee prints uses a fine art paper that’s very similar to the watercolor paper I use to paint, and images are printed with archival inks. The result is a beautiful duplication of the original, with the colors matched as closely as possible. Giclees are a great way to collect high-quality images from independent artists.

How can I tell the status of my order?

Once a shipping label has been created for your order, you’ll be emailed a tracking number; you can use this number to check on the status of your shipment. I’ll contact you immediately if I anticipate any kind of delay.

Do you offer refunds?

If you’re not happy with your order, please let me know and I’ll do my best to make it right! Visit the Refund/Shipping Policies page for more information.

Do you have any recommendations for frames for your prints?

Many art supply or framing stores have ready-made frames in standard sizes, or you can work with a framer directly if you have a specific kind of frame in mind. When I frame artwork for shows, I generally use natural white mats and black metal Nielsen frame kits, and I order custom-sized plexi/acrylic from a local frame shop. (This kind of glass is required for many art shows, so I have started using it as a rule.)

Will the color fade over time?

I paint with Liquitex Acrylics, which are colorfast for 50-100 years in gallery conditions, and I always recommend keeping artwork out of direct sunlight! My giclees are printed with the Epson Ultrachrome Pro inkset, which is rated at 200+ years for color and 400+ years for black and white.

Frame shops can use UV-protectant acrylic when they frame your artwork to help images last longer.

How long does an order usually take to ship?

Notecards usually ship within a day or two and prints ship within a week. Original artwork will generally ship within a week, though I will contact you if there are special circumstances.
