Floral Compass Giclée Print
A devotional piece for the astonishing hummingbird, Floral Compass was inspired by the rose windows of cathedrals and shows male and female Anna’s and rufous hummingbirds, the ones I see most often in my yard and on hikes. I’ve collected many of my favorite hummingbird flowers in this painting, including the little manzanita blossoms around the edge of the circle and the wild rose in the center.
Floral Compass is part of a series of plant-and-pollinator paintings showing the relationships between wildflowers and their floral visitors (Look Closer is a companion piece).
This giclée measures about 23” x 23” and is printed with archival inks on matte archival art paper. It is unmatted but backed by foam core board.
